Oakley created their Standard Issue family of battle-ready gear just for the U.S. Armed Forces, law enforcement and other first responders. They understand how fast your mission can go downhill if your optics are jeopardized, so they put their research and technology to work to create the Oakley SI Ballistic (APEL) Approved Goggles 2.0, thereby setting the standard for serious tactical ballistic eye protection.

The SI Ballistic (APEL) Goggles of course got the U.S. Army's nod for the Authorized Protective Eyewear List, the only eyewear approved for combat situations, combat simulation training and any other scenario where ballistic projectile fragmentation impact is a threat. This Oakley SI goggle system also meets the ANSI Z87.1 (2003) standards for high mass, high velocity impact, EN-166 BT K, and the U.S. Army MCEPS for protection. And the Oakley SI Ballistic (APEL) Goggles proudly passed the stringent, rigorous, torture testing required to earn the MIL-DTL-43511 compliance for ballistic impact resistance requirements for all lens configurations. Of course, comfort and lightweight feel are just as important as tough, no-fail protection, so these Oakley SI Ballistic (APEL) Goggles have micro fleece face-to-foam lining for all day comfort. Oakley's patented Plutonite lens technology stops 100% of the UVA, UVB, UVC and HEV (harmful blue) wavelengths up to 400 nm. And haze and optical distortion won't be a problem with this eyewear; they're made with Oakley's High-Definition Optics (HDO) to minimize refraction and give you a clear optical experience. Durable, tough, lightweight and combat-ready, these Oakley SI Ballistic (APEL) Approved Goggles 2.0 are the best in class.
