TACTICAL KNIVES
WHAT ARE TACTICAL KNIVES USED FOR?
The term "tactical knife" covers a broad range of products, from the utilitarian knives used by the military to concealable knives designed for self-defense. However, there are a few key differences between these utilitarian knives and the ones in your kitchen drawer. In general, tactical knives are ruggedly built and typically have ergonomic handles with advanced grips, high-quality steel blades that stay sharp enough to shave with, and non-reflective finishes that enable covert operation.
US Patriot Tactical offers a large selection of imported and American-made tactical knives for sale. We carry every type of blade, such as spear point, drop point, tanto, and more. We also offer multiple handle options, including G10, leather-wrapped, aerospace-grade aluminum, and more, so you can get exactly what you need at a price you can afford.
WHO MAKES THE BEST TACTICAL KNIVES?
There are countless knives on the market, but, in our humble opinion, the best tactical knife is the one you'll use. That's why we carry top tactical knives from trusted knifemakers, such as Rothco, Smith & Wesson, Benchmade, and KA-BAR.

HOW TO USE A TACTICAL KNIFE:
How a tactical knife is used depends on the job at hand. Military servicemembers require simple knives that are built tough to handle a wide range of tasks while remaining low-profile enough to double as a backup weapon. Hunters and survivalists, on the other hand, need a survival knife kit with multifunctional features, such as wire cutters, a compass, and other essential items.
US knife laws can vary by state, so it is always important to check before domestic travel. Generally, knives with a 3-inch blade are allowed to be carried on your person in public spaces, but never on planes, in government facilities, schools, or any other place that expressly forbids it.
Regardless of the purpose, every knife should be kept in good working order. Keep your knife clean and sharp and it'll never let you down.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF TACTICAL KNIVES?
There are two main types of tactical knives: fixed blade and folding.
TACTICAL FIXED BLADE KNIVES
What is a fixed blade knife? The best tactical fixed blade knives have a solid blade (or "full tang") that runs from tip to tail. A fixed blade knife makes an excellent hunting knife because of its exceptional durability. This type of knife also makes an ideal combat knife because the blade is always ready for action.
One of our favorite fixed blade knives is the Smith & Wesson HRT Spear Point Fixed Blade Boot Knife. This blacked-out knife has a corrosion-resistant steel blade ground into an aggressive dual-edge spear point. A TPE handle enhances grip and the included black leather sheath easily slips into your boot ankle for concealed carry.
TACTICAL FOLDING KNIVES
Folding knives have been around for decades. The hallmark feature of a tactical folding knife is the thick blade with a locking mechanism that can be folded into the handle for easy carry. These knives are often called "pocket knives" because they can easily slip into a pocket, bag, or pouch. While tactical folders don't have the strength of fixed blade knives, their compact profile makes them a very popular EDC knife.
What is the best EDC folding knife, you ask? Once again, that depends on what you need it for. In our opinion, Benchmade and KA-BAR® make some of the best folders around.
Back and better than ever, the Benchmade Presidio® II Folding Knife easily lives up to the Presidio name. This drop-point folding knife features ultra-lightweight CF-Elite handle scales and a premium CPM-S30V steel 4-inch blade. With Benchmade's proprietary AXIS® locking mechanism, wielding this tactical folder has never been easier or safer.
For a high-performance stainless-steel blade with a smaller profile, reach for the Benchmade Bugout® Axis Folding Knife. This versatile knife is blacked-out from tip to tail and has a 3-inch blade honed from CPM-S30V steel. A multifunctional drop-point straight edge and AXIS® lock mechanism allow you to tackle any job with confidence.
If you're looking for a heavy-duty folder, look no further than the KA-BAR Warthog Tanto Folder. This rugged knife has a partially serrated tanto-style blade that is considered one of the toughest and most versatile blades for EDC on the market. Throw in a G10 machined handle and you've got yourself one beast of a tactical folder.
MILITARY AND COMBAT KNIVES
When a hunting knife just won't do, the Smith & Wesson Karambit Knife. gives you all the benefits of cold steel with the ergonomic profile of a fighting knife. This full-tang knife has a black-coated high-carbon stainless steel black blade and a glass-filled nylon slab handle to deliver exceptional balance.
The Gerber Prodigy Survival Knife is a full-tang, partially serrated tool that weighs 7.2 ounces and is 9.75 inches long. This low-profile American-made knife has a drop point blade ground from corrosion-resistant 420HC steel and is coated in black ceramic for a low profile. This combat knife also has an ergonomic molded rubber handle and includes a ballistic nylon sheath.
HUNTING & SURVIVAL KNIVES AND KITS
When you're heading into the wild, make sure you're prepared to face any challenge with one of our survival knife kits.
At first glance, the Rothco Rothco Ramster Survival Kit Knife looks like a typical hunting knife, but it's much more than meets the eye. The secret is in the hollowed-out steel handle that can store a compass, fishing hooks/lines, weights, and needles. A durable sheath has external pouches that can hold the included sharpening stone and other essential items.
Another of our top picks is the Rothco Deluxe Adventurer Survival Kit Knife. This premium steel blade knife has a built-in survival kit with a fingertip saw, fishing hooks/line and sinkers, flint, pencil, needle and thread, bandages, compass, and much more. The included sheath also has a wire cutter, signal mirror, and safety whistle.
