Win the battle and the war with the newest version of the incredibly popular SFB from Nike. Soldiers love the SFB for its lightweight, flexible assembly and performance and now the new SFB has all that and more. More durable, high tech uppers and more rugged, grippier outsoles guarantee long-haul performance and dependability.

Fall in love again with the Nike SFB. (Don't forget the Nike SFB Socks!)

I was lead to believe that the first nike combat boots fit like a running shoe with an extension on the top (making it the boot). The ads for the new one build up all this hype for a better liter boot. They seem a little heavier than anticipated, but still insanely lite-weight. There is more tread in the sole using a more dense rubber, offering better traction and more longevity. All in all, the boot is GREAT and well worth the money. Good investment!

Once my NIke SFB were in stock they were delivered, next day air. They arrived in a Nike box and the package was super light! They look great, feel great and most of all are comfortable. I wore them all day and didn't feel the need to swap them out for a different shoe.
I wear an ortho by Goodfeet and NIke's always fit them well. I wear a 9 (Men) in Nike, and purchased a 9.5 for the boots. I have my Goodfeet ortho, an athletic cushion, and a pair of thick "Running" Thorlo socks. The boots feel snug (feels perfect for PT and light running), but have already begun to fit better after only half a day (they will stretch).
I live in SoCal and purposely bought these for the warm weather. I have been told an 8" boot will save your ankles. Couldn't be happier with the purchase, I just bot a second pair for inspection day. Less than 30 days out for a LEO Academy.

Nearly every gripe I had with the original Nike SFB has been addressed in the Nike SFB 8 inch Field. I am very happy with it.
Three forewarnings though:
1. This is a summer boot. It provides very little protection from even the slightest chill. It is made this way to help keep your feet cool in hot temperatures, so keep that in mind.
2. There IS some break-in time, unlike the original SFB. Not terrible though, just a days worth.
3. Immediately scotch guard them when you receive them to keep your feet from getting soaked.

These are hands down the best boots i've ever worn. I had a pair of the SFB's and they were awesome too. I've been wearing this boot for about 2 weeks and they are just as good but with much more of a solid feel to them. Can't speak to the durability yet but they just feel like they'll last much longer than the sfbs i own.

These are absolutely fantastic boots. The original sfb's were great. No break in time and you could wear them right out of the box. My only complaint was that they'd only last about 18 months. But no complaints, I get that the tradeoff for really lightweight is that they won't last forever. I've been wearing these boots for a week now and they are AWESOME. Still lightweight but they feel much more solidly constructed. They just feel more durable and the sole looks like they will definitely last. The price is up there but I wouldn't bat an eye buying these again in a couple of years.

I have been wearing the Nike SFB for many years and they are great but in the past wore out too fast. This new 8" Nike SFB has been completely redesigned with all of the best parts of the old model and so many great improvements. The new sole is harder and more durable, the heal and toe have better protection, the boot laces up more uniform and not bulky at the bottom and skinny up top like in the past, the loop on the back makes getting the boots on easier, and the grip on the sole is amazing. The insides of the arches have great jagged design that gives you more grip and makes walking across a beam or climbing a rope much easier. I can't find a single downfall to the boot. Nike nailed it this time!!!
