The Airman Battle Uniform (ABU) is the uniform worn by members of the United States Air Force. The uniform is often emblazoned with patches and badges denoting occupations such as the Missileman With Operations AF 53U ABU Master Badge. Made by Action Embroidery, this embroidered badge features a missile launching toward space with half of a laurel wreath on either side. At the top of the badge is the Master symbol, which is a star encircled by a wreath. This indicates an occupation working with missile maintenance. The Master badge can only be earned after an individual has been promoted to Staff Sergeant, earned the 7-skill level (Craftsman level), and has been working in his or her specialty for five years. Basic or Senior badges can be worn until the Master badge is earned.
In order to properly attach this badge, individuals should closely follow the rules and regulations for the wearing of badges and patches on the ABU. It takes only minutes to sew this piece on by hand or with the help of a machine. If you have earned the Master level working with missile maintenance and space operations, order your Missileman With Operations badge today.
